Thurgood Marshall Pre-Law Society was founded at Binghamton University in 1992. We are a support group for students who plan to attend law school. Our main goal is to encourage our members to aggressively pursue a legal profession through support and preparation. We accomplish this goal through various venues such as hosting workshops, inviting attorneys to the campus for speaking engagements, and by visiting law schools. In addition special emphasis will be afforded to learn about ourselves, our identities and personal talents.

As a member of TMPS you have access to valuable pre-law resources like CSTEP, CLEO, SEO, PLUS program, mentors in the legal field, as well as internships. As a member of TMPS you are required to sign up for CSTEP; which is a benefit for those taking LSAT prep classes because a partial discount can be given. Our General body topics cover a range, dealing with law in its entirety, from theory to practice. We also have an annual mock trial in conjunction with Charles Drew Pre-Med society for those looking to test out their oral argument skills!
